Everyday cuts, scrapes, insect bites and everyday mishaps – all these can affect cats and dogs fairly commonly. Though minor, these can cause a lot of pain and discomfort for your pet.  Addressing these problems quickly, effectively and naturally will benefit your pet. 

As any vet will tell you, one of the most important steps is to keep the area clean and the sooner that this is done the more beneficial the intervention will be.

By following a thorough cleansing routine before applying topical treatment like creams, you are also helping your pet to heal more quickly. As always, prevention is better than cure!

What are the Ingredients?

Clenzor contains the following ingredients:

Hamamelis virginianum (Witchhazel) has been used for centuries by Native Americans as a styptic and soothing skin remedy. Witchhazel also supports the skin’s natural immune function. This herb has been the subject of numerous studies due to its potential to support the skin while soothing common skin injuries. (Korting HC, Schafer-Korting M, Hart H, et al. “Anti-inflammatory activity of Hamamelis distillate applied topically to the skin”. Eur J Clin Pharmacol 1993;44:315–18). Calendula officinalis (Marigold) is an effective first-aid solution for all minor burns and scalds, as well as everyday cuts and scapes. Calendula also acts as an excellent skin tonic and has been studied for its ability to help soothe the skin. (Pommier, P., Gomez, F., Sunyach, M. Melissa officinalis is also called lemon balm and is well-known for its soothing and calming properties when used topically. This herb has also been studied for its beneficial effect on the nervous system (Kennedy DO, Scholey AB, Tildesley NT, Perry EK, Wesnes KA. Attenuation of laboratory-induced stress in humans after acute administration of Melissa officinalis (Lemon Balm). Psychosom Med.  2004 Jul-Aug;66(4):607-13.)

Urtica urens is an extremely versatile herb and is used both internally and externally for its excellent cleansing and supportive tonic properties. It is a rich source of quercitin, a flavonoid known to support histamine balance. (Taskila, K., Saarinen, J. V., Harvima, I. T., and Harvima, R. J. “Histamine and LTC4 in stinging nettle-induced urticaria.” Allergy 2000;55(7):680-681.)

How do I use Clenzor?

DIRECTIONS

Dilute 10 – 15 drops in approximately 100 ml water and apply directly to your pet’s skin where necessary, using clean hands and a clean cotton wool swab.
